Our Play Grade Wood Chippings are a durable, natural surfacing material produced from a blend of hardwood species graded between 5–30mm.
For play-area use, suitability must be assessed against current supplier test documentation and the requirements of the specific site. Material test results do not by themselves establish the suitability of an installed surface at a particular fall height. No compliance with a specific edition of BS EN 1177 or installation depth is claimed here pending confirmation of current supplier evidence.
Their natural light brown colour and pleasant woodland aroma also make them a popular decorative alternative to traditional bark mulch or aggregates in general landscaping applications.
Our playsafe chippings are delivered loose by the tonne using our professionally maintained Tiny Tipper fleet across Sussex & Kent.
Playsafe Hardwood Chippings are sold by weight, with 1 tonne providing approximately 0.6m³ of material.
